Tips for Healthy Hair and Skin

Possessing healthy hair and skin is something wanted by all. From using various hair and skin care products to following daily beauty regimes, we put in much effort to achieve that flawless skin and silky-smooth hair. However, when we don’t get the results that we expect, we tend to get de-motivated. Thus, to ensure minimal usage of these products, adopt these hair and skin care tips below to achieve that flawless appearance.

  1. Remember that the most important factor that decides the quality of your skin and hair goes to your genes, family history, nerves, and emotions.
  2. Use a face wash that agrees to your skin type and wash twice a day. Similarly, opt for a shampoo that complements your hair type as this would lead to less breakage.
  3. Don’t wash your hair every day and apply some conditioner on the ends. Try and use the same brand of shampoo and conditioner.
  4. Always remember to use a cleanser at night to remove excess makeup and dirt before applying the face wash.
  5. Treat your sunscreen as the most important aspect. Use it daily even when indoors. The sun’s UV rays come through windows too, and they lead to ageing, pigmentation, and tanning. Sunscreens should be applied every four hours. However, a sunscreen should have an SPF of 30 or more.
  6. Protect your skin from the sun. Make-up products like foundations, mineral powders, and compacts do not have adequate sun protection.
  7. Stick to mild skin lightening creams. Look for botanical ingredients like Bearberry, Licorice, Turmeric, Vitamin C & A, etc.
  8. Delay your aging. Ageing is intrinsic, i.e. it can be delayed via regular exercise and through diet. Multiple factors tend to the dry skin and make it more prone to pigmentation and aging. Thus, it is important to start caring for your skin during your teenager.
  9. Make night care a must. At night, use a moisturiser with an age-protection agent to complete your skin tip list.
  10. Exfoliation should be done with extreme caution and only with modern bead exfoliators.
  11. If you’ve got dry hair, then it’s best to avoid colouring.
  12. Pre-dry your hair with a microfiber towel cloth once you step out of the shower.
