The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) announces that nominations are now being accepted for the Gloria Niemeyer Francke Leadership Mentor Award. The award will be presented at the APhA Annual Meeting and Exposition in San Diego, California, March 14 – 17, 2008. APhA’s Awards and Honors program is American Pharmacy’s most prestigious and comprehensive recognition program.
This award recognizes an individual who has promoted and encouraged pharmacists to attain leadership positions within pharmacy through example as a role model and mentor. The pharmacist for whom the award is named-Gloria Niemeyer Francke, PharmD-personally exemplifies the award’s criteria. Any APhA member whose efforts or activities have significantly contributed to promoting leadership in others is eligible for this award, although Remington Medalists are not eligible.
